Tolar to Granbury

Training for Tolar

Tolar is a short drive east into Granbury. The private studio on East US 377 is where Hood County residents come for a coach, not an open floor.

Team 24 Fitness is the private studio on East US 377 in Granbury. Tolar does not have a second location. You train in the same room as everyone else: personal training, small group classes, and Cycle 24.

The drive in from Tolar

Tolar sits southwest of Granbury, close enough that the lake, the square, and the grocery run are already part of the week. Team 24 Fitness is not a second gym inside Tolar. It is the private studio at 2461 East US Hwy 377 A, on the highway that carries most of that traffic into town. You are not hunting a frontage road behind a shopping center. You pull up to a studio with a coach in the room.

People from Tolar usually make this drive for one of three reasons. The first is time. A 5:30am group class only works if the trip is short enough to be home, showered, and on the way to work without a second commute stacked on top. The second is coaching. Ranch work, school sports, and a desk job all beat up the same joints, and an open gym will not tell you when the squat is the reason your back is loud. The third is consistency. A room that expects you is easier to keep than a membership you can disappear inside.

Weekday hours at the studio are 5am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm. Saturday is 5am to 1pm. Sunday is closed. If you are leaving Tolar before the sun is fully up, the morning window is the one that fits. If you are coming after a shift, the afternoon block is open for personal training and the Cycle 24 rides sit on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings.

Who in Tolar this is built for

The people who do well here are not looking for a cheaper version of a big-box gym. They already know they can buy a day pass somewhere closer to the highway and still not know what to do. They want a plan. That might be a parent who has not trained since high school, a shift worker whose only reliable hour is before the house wakes up, or someone who tried a crowded class and spent the whole hour guessing the weight.

Tolar is small. You will see people you know. That is a feature if the room is small enough that a coach can use your name and a problem if the room is a hundred strangers and a timer. Group classes here stay small enough to correct a rep. Personal training is in a private setting with Brandon Sledge, who builds the program and a nutrition plan and tracks body weight, muscle, fat loss, and strength. You are not handed a template that also went to the person on the next hour.

If you are brand new, say so. The first visit is a free consultation, not a trial workout designed to exhaust you. Bring the schedule you actually keep, including the drive. A plan that ignores the Tolar-to-Granbury trip will fail in week three, when the novelty is gone and the morning is cold. We would rather build around the hours you can protect than sell you a calendar you will not drive.

Personal training, without the open floor

Personal training is the higher-touch way in. Brandon instructs the session in a private setting, writes the program around your goal, and includes a nutrition plan. Progress is tracked in numbers you can see: body weight, muscle, fat loss, and strength. That is the point of driving in from Tolar. You are not paying for access to equipment you could find anywhere. You are paying for a coach who already knows what last week looked like.

The consult is free. Use it to walk the studio, say what has not worked, and ask whether the drive is realistic for the frequency you need. Some people need two coached sessions a week and can handle the rest at home. Some people need the room more often because home is where the plan dies. We will tell you which one you are instead of defaulting to the larger package.

Nutrition is part of the work, not a PDF you never open. Training changes what you can do. Eating decides whether the scale and the waist agree with the work. If you have tried to out-train a long day and a late dinner, you already know the gap. The plan covers both, and the follow-up is in the same room the next time you are in Granbury.

The 5:30am group class

Group classes run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 to 6:30am. Equipment is in the room. You do not haul dumbbells from Tolar. The class is the more accessible way in: still programmed, still coach-led, shared with a small group instead of booked as a private hour. For a lot of Tolar members this is the one that survives a school year, because it is over before the rest of the day starts asking for things.

Expect strength work you will see again, not a random circuit that changes so often you never get better at anything. A coach can change the load, shorten the range, or pull you out of a rep that is about to become a habit. That only works when the class is small. If you have been in a workout where the instructor cannot see the back row, this will feel quieter and more specific.

The membership for group training is straightforward: no contract, auto debit. Ask about it on the consult if you want the number next to your actual week. The class is not a substitute for personal training if you need a nutrition plan and a private progression. It is the right start if you want coaching and a standing appointment without booking every session one to one.

Cycle 24 after the day is done

Cycle 24 is indoor cycling in the same building. Classes are 45 minutes. Shoes are provided. You do not need experience, and you do not need to own a bike. Rides are Monday at 6pm, Tuesday at 5:30pm, and Thursday at 5:30pm. A single class is $24. Unlimited rides are $149 a month if the bike is going to be the habit.

For Tolar, the evening ride is often the one that fits a day that already started early. You finish work, drive in on 377, and the class has a start time. Resistance is yours. The coach calls the effort. Nobody is racing the person on the next bike, which matters if you have not clipped into a studio bike before. First-timers and regulars share the room because the work scales.

Book the ride you mean to catch. The point of a short drive is to land in the class, not the parking lot after it. If you want the ride stacked with group classes and stretch, that is the Unlimited week.

A week that respects the drive

A realistic Tolar week is not seven trips. It is the trips you will still make in February. One version: group class Monday and Wednesday at 5:30am, Cycle 24 Thursday evening, and a personal training session in the afternoon block when the plan needs hands-on work. Another version, if mornings are off the table: two private sessions and one ride. The consult is where we pick. The drive is part of the program, so we count it.

Unlimited, if you want the full menu, is three spin classes, three group classes, and five stretch sessions every week. That is a lot of Granbury time. It fits a Tolar member who is already in town most days, or who wants the studio to be the main appointment. It does not fit someone who can only protect one hour. We will not sell you the big week and then watch you feel behind.

Stretch matters more than people with a physical job want to admit. If your back and hips already spend the day in a truck or on a job site, five stretch sessions are how the strength work stays repeatable. Call (817) 683-8347 or use the form. A trainer texts back to set the consult.

Questions from Tolar

Is there a Team 24 location in Tolar?

No. You train at the Granbury studio on East US 377. Tolar members drive in. The room, the coaches, and the schedule are the same ones Granbury members use.

Can I make the 5:30am class from Tolar?

Yes, if you treat the drive as part of the start time. Leave enough margin that you are in the room before the clock, not pulling in at 5:35. If that margin does not exist on your week, pick an afternoon session or an evening ride instead.

What should I book first?

A free consultation. We will look at your goal, your week, and whether personal training, the group class, or Cycle 24 should lead. You can try a class after that conversation, not instead of it.

Do I bring equipment from home?

No. Group classes supply the equipment. Cycle 24 supplies the shoes. Personal training uses the studio. Show up in shoes you can train in and clothes you can sweat in.
